Bio

Jo Ferrari has had a passion for music for as long as she can remember. From her very first vinyl 45 (Bob Dylan's Rainy Day Women) to her own lyrical endeavors, Jo has loved everything about music and poetry. Her parents cultivated in her a love and appreciation of nearly every style of music, from the big band era to oldies to her own discoveries of ska, reggae, pop, disco, world music and more.

While her undercover identity as a hard-working member of society took her through the world of business and marketing in the insurance and restaurant industries, and a 5-year stint in court reporting, her passion has remained steadily with music and writing. So much so that in recent years, she's decided to pursue them with not only passion, but also with full intent and purpose.

With a keen sense of both the sublime and the absurd, Jo's comfortable finding the perfect lyrics for a ballad, a parody song, an up-tempo beat or standard pop. When she's not out experiencing live music or discovering an exciting new voice, Jo can be found hard at work crafting her latest lyrical treasure.

The creativity doesn't stop there. Jo, a wordsmith by colleague accounts, is also a talented writer of prose, a copywriter, copy editor, proofreader, photographer and more. She has the ability to spot beauty in even the most ordinary of places.
